Offers a variety of programs including community services, counseling programs and specialized programs for youth and older adults. Programs are available throughout Will county, call for location information. This location is the site of the administrative office. Community Services - Offers Emergency Services/Homelessness Prevention programming that offers information and referral; vouchers for food, travel, clothing and furniture; and rent/mortgage and prescription assistance. Operates the Daybreak Center that provides emergency housing, food, supportive services and case management to individuals and families. Offer transitional and permanent supportive housing opportunities. A bilingual social worker is available to serve and advocate with the Hispanic/Latino community. Counseling - Services include assessment; individual, family, and couples counseling; also operates a variety of counseling groups including those for anger management and survivors of suicide; also provides consultation and education services. Childrens Services - Offers foster care, adoption services, and comprehensive services for women facing unplanned pregnancy. Early Childhood Services - Early Childhood Services is comprised of a variety of services for children under the age of five years and their low-income families. Programs include traditional Head Start and Early Head Start programs as well as childcare. Senior Programs - Offers information and referral, foster grandparent program, volunteer opportunities for adults age 55 and over, money management including budgeting and bill pay, companionship program, programs for both victims and perpetrators of elder abuse and neglect, and case management.
