2-1-1 Idaho CareLine is a toll-free, statewide bilingual service available to link Idahoans with health or human service providers and programs. The 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine has served as the "central directory" for the numerous Department of Health and Welfare programs since 1991. The 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine uses an extensive database of health and human service providers to support the information and referral activities. The 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine links people to services such as prenatal care, immunizations, adolescent pregnancy prevention, Medicaid resources, child development information, adoption/foster care services, nutrition information, child care referrals, child abuse prevention, services for the elderly, diabetes treatment and prevention, and more. You can call or email 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine to receive packets of information regarding: adoption; applications for assistance (including CHIP); adolescent suicide prevention; early childhood issues. 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine also surveys and maintains a listing of Medicaid providers who are currently accepting new Medicaid patients (chiropractors, eye care, and counselors).
