Teachers at the Academy are incredibly skilled, flexible and enthusiastic. Our preschool teachers understand the differences in the development stages of each child in their classroom. They can relate and empathize with the struggle that children have between being dependent and wanting to be independent. Children at this age are very impressionable, so our teachers demonstrate respect and consideration of each child in their interactions, environment and scheduling. And they consistently show each child how to act appropriately with each other and in the environment.
Our Preschool teachers\' enthusiasm is a positive influence on children\'s attitudes toward learning and school. They truly listen to the ideas and suggestions of the children and can adapt to their interests even when those interests stray from a planned activity. They provide consistent feedback and encouragement so children get excited and stay excited about what they are learning.
TEACHER HIGHLIGHTS
Our teachers come to us with a variety of early childhood development backgrounds, and all benefit from our extensive training and professional development support programs.
Teachers go through a comprehensive training program that gives them the understanding of the Academy\'s standards and curriculum, as well as explores child development issues. They work with professional trainers, with members of our experienced Education Team, with other teachers and also on their own to ensure they have all the tools necessary to be the kind of teacher you expect and we demand.
No matter how new or experienced they are, all of our teachers have access to a myriad of professional development opportunities through the Academy\'s Educational Department and our field management structure.
